I'm Alex and I help people and organisations to Be More Pirate
Are they serving you, or could there be a better way? So many of our day to day actions and behaviours are a result of legacy and conditioning. Being more pirate is about giving yourself permission to chart a different course
What matters most to you? Are you clear on your strengths, beliefs, desires and ambitions? To successfully navigate through difficult and uncertain times, you need clarity of purpose
Pirates boldly go where others fear to tread, which means learning how to constructively challenge yourself and others, take calculated risks, raise taboo topics, and become more comfortable with the uncomfortable
Crew is the backbone of any pirates' success. Being a lone rebel can be dangerous and lead to burnout and disillusionment. Building strong networks are the foundation from which the most effective action happens.
Pirates were master storytellers. Working class rebels with a dash of romance, they created a legend that's lasted generations. There's a lot to learn from pirates about how to draw an audience, cause a stir, or recruit others to your cause
Pirates had no time for dithering; they learnt through trying, testing, failing and then more trying. I work by experimenting with small, bold, actions and allowing perfectionism to die an unsubtle death.
"Alex was a fantastic facilitator, guiding us through a high energy and thoroughly inspiring team session. Be more pirate has really challenged us to think differently and continues to shape how we operate as a team."
